The Ultimate Summer 2019 Fashion Trends
Summer is right around the corner and we are READY. Sure, we love our jackets (we are an outerwear company, after all), but we love the summer just as much. A while back we wrote about some Spring 2019 fashion trends and now it’s time to talk about the new season’s fashion trends.
A Knit Tank
A nod to the ‘90s, the knit is the ultimate summer top. It’s lightweight, flattering, and literally goes with everything from wide leg trousers to mom jeans to pencil skirts.
The Most #Extra Hair Tie
Give that black hair tie that’s always on your wrist a break and be #extraAF with an over-the-top hair tie. Try incorporating your favorite scarf as a hair accessory by wrapping it around your boring hair tie and tying it in a bow. Or, add some barrettes or scrunchies if you’re feeling super #extra.
The Ultimate Hat

Be chic and prevent sun damage with bucket hat – or really any hat that works for you. Best of all, you can totally pull off this look post-pool or beach by throwing a coverup over your swimsuit and topping it off with a hat. Instant #OOTD.
Maxi Dresses
Maxi dresses are having a moment, so expect to see us in them all season. There are so many different styles to choose from, but one of our favorite looks is pairing a feminine maxi dress with edgy pieces, like a floral print dress with a denim jacket tied at the waist.
A Relaxed Trouser
No one likes jeans in the summer – especially skinny ones that take an hour to peel off. Ditch the skinnies and grab a linen trouser. It’s lightweight and can be paired with so many different tops. For happy hour, try a white pair over a black bodysuit with a belt. Or for a more work-appropriate outfit, pair black trousers with a white blouse.
The 80’s Dress
If you aren’t a fan of the maxi dress trend, try the 80’s inspired mini dress. Think puffy sleeves with a button-down feature and belt in matching print or fabric. Pair with your favorite combat boots or fashion sneakers for the ultimate grunge yet cool look.
The Summer (Power) Suit
You don’t have to ditch your favorite power suit just because the temps are rising. Grab a two-piece suit in a lightweight, beige fabric for a sleek yet breathable work-appropriate outfit.
A White Blouse
If you thought all white blouses are boring, think again. This summer expect to see statement white blouses everyone. Not sure what they are? Think European riviera-style with ruffle details or poufy sleeves.
The Updated LWD (Little White Dress)
Speaking of white, the summer season is all about the little white dress. While we’re never put away our little black dress, there is something fresh and unexpected with a little white dress. Pair with summer fedora and sleek sandals and you’ve got your go-to summer outfit.
And, The Leopard Dress

You didn’t think we’d write an article on trends and not mention leopard, did you? To take your leopard print to summer, wear it in sleek, slip-dress form. If you’re going out on the town, pair with your favorite heels. Otherwise, you can pair with some black Converse of your fav casual sandals.
Your #OOTD doesn’t have to suffer just because the temperatures are rising. Incorporate one (or more) of these trends into your summer wardrobe and you’re good to go – not to mention, cool.
